About the Patek Philippe 7042/100R-010
The Patek Philippe Gondolo Ref. 7042/100R-010 debuted in as a Haute Joaillerie interpretation of the Gondolo line, combining ornamental gem-setting with a traditionally constructed mechanical movement. The cushion-shaped rose gold case measures 31 × 34.8 mm with a thickness of 7.95 mm and is water-resistant to 30 metres. A sapphire crystal case back reveals the manually wound movement.
The dial is executed on an 18K gold plate and paved with diamonds arranged in a circular pattern. Time is indicated by rose gold leaf-shaped hands, while twelve trapeze-cut diamond hour markers provide orientation. A diamond-set dial flange frames the composition and reinforces the model’s geometric structure.
Gem-setting extends across the case and bracelet. The bezel and lugs are set with baguette-cut diamonds, and the crown is finished with an Akoya pearl cabochon. The integrated bracelet is composed of 78 Akoya pearls, interspersed with rose gold links set with princess-cut diamonds, and secured by a rose gold fold-over clasp set with additional brilliant-cut diamonds. In total, the watch incorporates 552 diamonds with a combined weight of 6.51 carats and 79 Akoya pearls totalling 53.18 carats.
Powering the watch is the manually wound Caliber 215. Measuring 21.9 mm in diameter and 2.55 mm in thickness, the movement comprises 130 components and 18 jewels. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour and delivers a minimum power reserve of 44 hours. Regulation is ensured by a balance fitted with a Spiromax balance spring. The movement is finished in accordance with the Patek Philippe Seal.
