About the Patek Philippe 6301P-001
The Patek Philippe Grande and Petite Sonnerie Minute Repeater 6301P-001 is a grand complication wristwatch combining a grande sonnerie, a petite sonnerie, and a minute repeater, representing the most advanced acoustic configuration currently offered in the collection.
The watch is housed in a platinum case measuring 44.8 mm in diameter and 12.03 mm in thickness. The case features a concave bezel and countersunk, satin-finished flanks, with a diamond set at 12 o’clock. It is humidity- and dust-protected but not water-resistant. Interchangeable solid and sapphire crystal case backs are supplied. A sonnerie mode selector slide is integrated into the case flank at 6 o’clock, while the minute repeater pusher is incorporated into the crown.
The dial is executed in black Grand Feu enamel on an 18K gold dial plate and fitted with applied white-gold Breguet numerals. White-gold leaf-shaped hands with luminescent coating indicate the time. Power reserve indicators are displayed at 9 o’clock for the movement, rated at approximately 72 hours, and at 3 o’clock for the striking mechanism, rated at approximately 24 hours. A patented jumping small seconds display is positioned at 6 o’clock.
Powering the watch is the manually wound calibre GS 36-750 PS IRM, derived from the calibre developed for the Grandmaster Chime. The movement measures 37 mm in diameter and 7.5 mm in thickness, comprises 703 components and 95 jewels, and operates at a frequency of 25,200 semi-oscillations per hour (3.5 Hz). It incorporates a grande sonnerie, a petite sonnerie, and a minute repeater striking on three classic gongs, along with two patented innovations linked to the striking mechanism. The movement is fitted with a Spiromax balance spring and bears the Patek Philippe Seal.
