About the Patek Philippe 5821/1AR-001
The Patek Philippe Cubitus Ref. 5821/1AR-001 debuted in 2024 as part of the inaugural Cubitus collection, representing the manufacture’s first entirely new line since the introduction of the Aquanaut. This reference is executed in a two-tone configuration, combining a stainless steel case with rose gold elements integrated into the bezel and bracelet.
The square-shaped case with rounded edges measures 45 mm across (10–4 o’clock) and 8.3 mm in thickness. Polished and vertically satin-brushed surfaces are applied across the case, bezel, and bracelet, emphasising the geometric construction. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres. The watch is fitted with a screw-down crown and a sapphire crystal case back.
The dial features a sunburst blue finish with a horizontally embossed pattern. Time is indicated by applied rose gold baton-style hour markers and matching rounded baton-style hands, all filled with white luminescent material. A framed date aperture is positioned at 3 o’clock, accompanied by a central sweep seconds hand.
Powering the watch is the self-winding Caliber 26-330 S C. The movement measures 27 mm in diameter and 3.32 mm in thickness, comprises 212 components and 30 jewels, and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour. It delivers a power reserve of approximately 35 to 45 hours and incorporates a stop-seconds mechanism. Winding is provided by a 21K gold central rotor, with regulation ensured by a Gyromax balance and Spiromax balance spring. The movement is finished in accordance with the Patek Philippe Seal.
The integrated bracelet combines stainless steel outer links with rose gold central links and is secured by a patented Patek Philippe fold-over clasp with a lockable adjustment system.
