About the Patek Philippe 5821/1A-001
The Patek Philippe Cubitus Ref. 5821/1A-001 debuted in 2024 as part of the inaugural Cubitus collection, marking the manufacture’s first entirely new line since the introduction of the Aquanaut. The model is housed in a stainless steel square-shaped case with rounded edges and integrated side attachments, measuring 45 mm across (10–4 o’clock) and 8.3 mm in thickness. The case, bezel, and bracelet combine polished and vertically satin-brushed surfaces. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres, and the watch is fitted with a screw-down crown and sapphire crystal case back.
The dial features a sunburst olive green finish with a horizontally embossed pattern. Time is indicated by applied white gold baton-style hour markers and matching rounded baton-style hands, both filled with white luminescent material. A framed date aperture is positioned at 3 o’clock, and a central sweep seconds hand completes the display.
Powering the watch is the self-winding Caliber 26-330 S C. The movement measures 27 mm in diameter and 3.32 mm in thickness, comprises 212 components and 30 jewels, and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour. It offers a power reserve of approximately 35 to 45 hours and incorporates a stop-seconds mechanism. Winding is provided by a 21K gold central rotor, and regulation is handled by a Gyromax balance with a Spiromax balance spring. The movement bears the Patek Philippe Seal.
The integrated stainless steel bracelet is secured by a patented Patek Philippe fold-over clasp with a lockable adjustment system.
