With its round case and straight lugs, the Rotonde de Cartier is one of the brand's more traditional designs - while retaining many Cartier signature elements. This collection consists primarily of watches with added complications. The Cartier Rotonde Astromystérieux was introduced at SIHH 2016. In a next-level interpretation of the classic 'mystérieuse' watches not only the hands, but also a large part of the movement, seemingly float in space. The case measures 43.5mm across and is made of platinum, with the bezel and lug set with 84 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 2.97 carats, the beaded platinum crown set with a brilliant-cut diamond of 0.14 carats, and the platinum dial set with 120 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 3.64 carats. An additional 37 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 0.85 carats are found on the folding buckle.
